About Us
The Sierra Highlanders Pipe Band is an all volunteer organization and has served Nevada, Northern California and the
surrounding areas for more than 46 years. For most of those years, it was Northern Nevada's only pipe band and we were
the first to represent Nevada in Scotland at the World Championships in 2005. We are hoping to go again in 2008!
The band is dedicated to serving the local communities, teaching highland bagpipes and drums and keeping the cultural
richness of our Scottish heritage alive. Band membership is open to all.
The Sierra Highlanders are available for performances, parades, concerts and private parties. Please contact John
LoGiurato at (775) 883-5083 or info@sierrahighlanderspipeband.com for booking rates and information. All proceeds
from bookings and merchandise sales support the pipe band.
Many of our individual pipers and drummers are also available for weddings, funerals, wakes, private parties and any
other occasion you might want the grand sound of traditional highland music, without the full band. Rates are
determined by the individuals. Requests for information may also be made by contacting
info@sierrahighlanderspipeband.com or by contacting them directly (please see the Roster for details).
Don't forget about our first CD ~ $16.00 (now in its second printing)

The Sierra Highlanders were honored to be invited to perform for the
annual Governor's Open House, held on Nevada Day. Governor and First
Lady, Jim and Dawn Gibbons are on the front steps of the Governor's
Mansion.
The band also marched in the Nevada Day Parade and then played
around town for the crowd's enjoyment ~ all part of our civic duty! (and fun!)
As an all volunteer, non-profit organization, the Sierra Highlanders Pipe Band depends on your generosity and support to continue. Thank you!!
